Hello friends,

I wanted to write a quick note sharing my love and blessings with you for this beautiful Spring Equinox.

Many of us here in Florida have been having some crazy storming weather, and much of the south has been under tornado warnings. My prayers of love and protection go out to each of you. And at the same time many up north are having more snow dumped on them as I write this so I also send prayers of love and protection to each of them as they move through the snow.

However, I wanted to honor today by reminding each of you to take note of the seasons, no matter the weather, as it is a pattern of light and dark. Today that light and dark is in a place of balance.

To honor that in your everyday life I recommend you take a moment to see where the sunsets in the sky, and tomorrow notice where it comes up. Make this a daily ritual. It will bring you insight into the natural rhythms of this beautiful universe we live in and connect you to nature in a mindful way.

As I’m preparing for tomorrow’s class, I found some pictures I took right before class began last time I taught this class.

This is one of the most fun classes I teach for two reasons.

First of all, we learn about a large number of herbs in this class. We go over the medicinal properties of 15 herbs categorizing by some general properties, such as general tonic herbs, herbs for immunity, and herbs for digestion.

Secondly, we taste all of these herbs and mix them together to get an idea of their flavor profiles. As a hands on learner, this is my favorite type of class.

Today I am at the Mid Week Market at Bull Park in Atlantic Beach from 3-6pm.

I have a few garden items, such as the delicious chocolate cherry tomatoes and fresh tarragon. I also have lots of lovely herbal products, including Fire Cider Tonic, Elderberry Syrup, Arnica Balm and much more.

This market is excellent for bringing the kids or your dog. The park here is covered and there are so many laughing happy children for yours to play with. So get out today and enjoy this beautiful summer day!

I will also be at the Beaches Green Market this Saturday from 2-5 pm. So, if you can’t make it today please join us Saturday!

I am on the upswing, but I know deep down that I do not have the energy to go to market today. It takes a lot in this fast paced, goal oriented, business first world to listen to and to honor that voice that resides deep down inside of each of us telling us when to say no. I know that for me this has been a long struggle, and I am working diligently to get more in touch with this voice. Sometimes I hear it loudest when I am physically unwell…

So, as I humbly say no to the market, I also want to apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused to any of you in need of herbal remedies and love. I want you all to know that I always have products available at the Apothecary. Just call or text me at 808-782-5406, and we can coordinate your visit to get what you need.

I will be at market next in April: Wednesday 4/5/17 — Friday 4/7/17 — Saturday 4/8/17 which I will announce more thoroughly at the beginning of the month.

Hello everyone! Hope you are all enjoying these first few days of Spring!

I wanted to update y’all on this week’s markets. I will not be at Wednesday’s or Friday’s markets, as I have been feeling a bit under the weather. I am hoping that all my herbal allies will help me nip this feeling quickly in the bud, so that I can make it to the Saturday market! Keep your eye here on the blog or check our Facebook Page to see when we will be at Market this week.

If you have ever wondered what an herbalist takes when she is feeling under the weather, I can tell you that I have been taking my Cold and Flu Tincture which is immune supporting and antibacterial and antiviral with Echinacea and Goldenseal Root! I’ve also been taking Elderberry Syrup to support my immunity and give my throat a nice soothing coat. Finally, I drink LOTS of herbal tea. Mostly I’ve been drinking my Immuni-tea Blend with an added bit of Goldenseal Root Powder every pot or so. I get lots of rest, fresh air and tend to burn sage to kill germs that reside in the house.

Hello Friends! Believe it or not it is already February?!

I wanted to share with all of you the Farmer’s Market Schedule for The Manifest Nest! We are happy to announce that we will be doing three different markets here at the Beaches, with the addition of a Friday market on Mayport Rd. in Atlantic Beach from 3-6pm. See the calendar below for more information on dates and places!

Today, we will be at the Farmer’s Market at Bull Park in Atlantic Beach from 3-6pm. So come on by and get yourself some of our fresh sugar snap peas, herbs, and a brand new batch of Elderberry Syrup! We are even carrying 8oz bottles now for those of you, like my family, that go through so much at this time of year.
